Drop forging

The working of metal into the shape by means of modern hot forging methods refines the grain structure, produces the structural uniformity free from internal defects, optimises the grain flow (grain flow follows the contour of the forged part) and improves the ductility and toughness. Forgings are much superior compared to components manufactured by any other metalworking process due to the directional strength, high impact and fatigue conferred by them.

Our closed die forgings are produced on three press lines (screw & maxi presses) with nominal pressing forces between 4 and 25 MN or alternatively, depending on the specific product requirements on two counterblow hammer lines with a hammering energy of 80 and 125 KJ. They are preformed using upsetting presses or forging rolls.

The installed capacities enable us to offer a wide assortment of hot forgings of various shapes and forms, for several fields of use. We forge small to medium batch sizes, in a variety of carbon and high alloy steels. Our forgings can range from 0.3 to 30 Kg in weight. With over 40 years of experience as unique closed-die Greek forging company we offer our customers long-term solutions.

The production process is compliant and certified since 2001, according to the norm EN ISO 9001:2000.
